Bar and Restaurant
What time is food served from and to?
Food is served in the lounge bar and in Mitchell’s restaurant from 12noon until 9pm every day.
Do we have to book a table for a meal?
We do not take bookings for the lounge bar, however we would always recommend booking for Mitchell’s Restaurant, especially at weekends. Please call 01360 310 790 to make a reservation.
Are special diets catered for?
We will always try and accommodate any dietary requirements, please ask your server for details.
Is there a lunch menu?
We have a lunch menu available in the lounge bar until 4.30pm, which has a selection of light meals and smaller plates.
Is there a different menu offered in Mitchell”s Restaurant?
No, the bar and restaurant menus have the same choices and prices
What time is the bar open until?
Saturay – Thursday – 12 midnight
Friday – 1am
What arrangements should be made for larger parties?
We would always recommend booking at least a week in advance for larger parties. Parties of 12 or more will be required to choose a limited menu. We can accommodate tables of up to 20 people in Mitchell’s. Parties larger than this would be more comfortable in The Hamilton Suite.
Is there a children’s menu available?
Yes we have a children’s menu suitable for under 12 years.. Children are not permitted in the lounge bar after 10pm, however they may eat in Mitchell’s.
What time is check in/out?
Check in after 2pm
Check out before 11am
For earlier/later check in/out please contact the hotel for details.
Are there any discounts offered?
We would be happy to offer a discounted rate for long stays or when attending a function at the hotel.
Do the bedrooms have internet access?
If you require a room with internet access please state when booking.
Do you allow dogs in rooms?
We allow small well behaved dogs provided that it is stated when the booking is made.
Functions and Events
Is it possible to bring our own buffet?
No, we do not allow outside catering.
Are children permitted to attend functions?
Children can attend functions as a guest although are not permitted in the lounge/bar after 10pm. Children are not permitted at ticketed events held by the hotel – i.e Christmas Party Nights.
What is the maximum number of guests that can be catered for a sit-down meal?
What is the maximum capacity for a function?
200 guests if both function suites are booked
Can we decorate the room for our function?
Yes, please contact the hotel for access times.
Can we bring a cake?
Yes, we would be happy to provide a cake knife and table.
Does the hotel provide a DJ/band?
No, however we can recommend them.

Yes there is ample parking within hotel grounds
