The Glazert Country House Hotel understands that your wedding day is the most magical day of your lives, so we feel it is essential to come and see us, have a look around and chat to one of our experienced wedding co-ordinators so that your wedding is personalised to your requirements.

Once you have a date in mind do not hesitate to get in contact and we will be only too happy to make a reservation, if we are available, for your wedding reception. A provisional booking can be made and held for up to fourteen days, after which, you should confirm your booking along with a non-refundable £200 deposit.

Whilst we have included a helpful checklist to help guide you through the months, weeks and then days leading to your wedding, we are here every step of the way to offer practical help. At least five weeks prior to your big day simply arrange a mutually convenient appointment with a member of our management team to discuss the finer details of your big day including drinks packages, menu choices, table plans, flower arrangements, table decorations etc. We will then detail your full wedding plans and provide an estimation of the final cost.

Once these final arrangements have been made you can begin to relax and be assured that your special day is in the capable hands of our experienced and dedicated team.

Your wedding day is one of the most memorable and magical days of your life. Planning your wedding can be a daunting task but if you begin to plan in advance you will be able to have time to enjow all the preparations. We have devised a list of suggestions which you may find useful.

Early Planning Stage

• Decide when and where you want to get married, whether at the hotel or elsewhere, and make arrangements for your ceremony.
• Begin to compile your guest list in consultation with both families.
• Decide on your reception venue and make a reservation. - we will be more than happy to offer advice on this subject.
• Choose bridesmaids, best man, ushers and groomsmen.
• Start looking for dresses and accessories for you and your bridemaids.
• One of the most exciting things you will be arranging is your honeymoon - book this well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Six Months Before

• Now is the ideal time for the groom to arrange transport for the wedding.
• Book a professional photographer or videographer  so you can always be reminded of your special day.

Four Months Before

• Confirm arrangements for your wedding service.
• Order your wedding stationary - you will need invitations, service sheets, place names etc.
• Start discussing flower arrangements for the church/hotel, bouquets, headdresses etc with your florist.
• Buy those all important wedding rings!!

Three Months Before 

• The weding cake should be made at least two months before the big day so order or start making it at this stage.
• Finalise your honeymoon plans, renew passports, apply for visas etc. If you want your name changed on your passport for going away, now is the time to do it.

Two Months Before

• Send invitations and gift lists out.
• Send out thank you letters as wedding gifts begin to arrive.
• Buy presents for the best man, bridemaids, ushers and groomsmen.

One Month Before

• Finalise your guest list and seating plan.
• Finalise the menu, drinks package etc.
• Check that all wedding clothes are near completion.
• Visit your hairdresser and book your final hair appointment.
• Check that transport to and from the ceremony is organised.

Two Weeks Before

• Now is the time to get involved with rehearsals for the wedding ceremony.
• Make final arrangements for clothes, catering, cake, flowers and photography.
• Check your honeymoon arrangements.
• Organise arrangements for a hen or stag night - not advisable the night before the wedding!
• Confirm final reception arrangements with the hotel. Arrange to drop off cake, flowers, table decorations, seating plan etc.

• Last but not least, just relax and enjoy the week preceding the big day.

These conditions apply to all contracts for the provision of goods and services. Please read these conditions in order to avoid any misunderstandings regarding the terms on which reservations are accepted.

Booking your Reception

A provisional booking can be made and held for up to fourteen days. At the end of the fourteen days your booking should be confirmed with a non-refundable deposit of £200.

We respectfully request at least 50% of the estimated balance to paid two weeks in advance of the date of your wedding.

The bill will be charged on the final confirmed numbers given to the hotel 48 hours in advance.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellations must be forwarded in writing to the Manager. The cancellation will become effective from the date the Glazert Country House Hotel receives written confirmation.

Should you for any reason wish to change the date of your reception, the transfer of the deposit will be entirely at the discretion of the manager, taking into account time and re-letting of the facilities.

Liability

The Glazert Country House Hotel cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the client or guests or for any personal possesions which are brought onto the premises at the owner's own risk.

Conduct and Damage to Property

In the unlikely event of any anti-social or unacceptable behaviour of any persons present, we retain the right to insist that the offending person(s) immediately leave the premises. Any loss or damge to fixtures or fittings may be charged to the client.

Disclaimer

Whilst the Glazert Country House Hotel has taken all reasonable steps to ensure that the information contained within our wedding package is correct, we reserve the right to alter, substitue or withdraw any service, facility or amenity without notice, only if absolutely necessary.
