Surrounded by local courses and within a close proximity to a large selection of championship courses we can provide a relaxing atmosphere wherever you choose to play.

The Glazert Country House Hotel can be the perfect base for anyone who wishes to explores some of Scotlands impressive championship courses including:

Gleneagles (50 min drive) - Host of the 2014 Ryder Cup and home to the world famous King's Course.

Royal Troon (1hr drive) - Playing host The Open eight times you'll be hard pushed to find a finer links course.

Turnberry (1hr 30 min drive) - Turnberry's landmark Lighthouse forms one of golf's most iconic holes.

St Andrews (1 hr 50 Min drive) - Home of golf, St Andrews offers more than just history with seven sublime courses including the Old Course, host of the 2010 Open Championship.

Campsie Golf Club - (2 min drive)

This golf course commands some of the most beautiful landscapes in the area (or of any course), sitting at the foot of the campsie fells and towering above the surrounding village. For a challenging yet rewarding round of golf there is no need to look further than our local course. We are lucky enough to be within such close proximity to numerous courses including, Hayston Golf Club, Kirkintilloch Golf Club, Cawder Golf Club, Balmore Golf Club, Lenzie Golf Club, Bishopbriggs Golf Club and Esporta.

All Courses are easily accessible and are no more than 15 min drive from the hotel.

Whisky Distilleries

There can be nothing more synonymous with Scotland than whisky and the Glazert Country House Hotel could be your base while you explore the local distilleries.

The Glengoyne Distillery is situated 15 minutes by car from the hotel and with it's popular visitor centre our 'local' distillery is a must see attraction for anyone.

Less than half an hour drive away lies the Auchentoshan Distillery and visitor centre open seven days a week.

For any whisky enthusiast a visit to the Scotch Whisky Experience is a must. Situated near Edingburgh Castle (only an hour drive), you can find out how the 'water of life' is produced along with the subtle differences between the various regions.

After a day exploring the delights of the whisky making process why not retire to the lounge bar and see what all the hard work is for by sampling the wide range of whiskies we stock from all over the country.
